PAPAYA, TAINUNG NO. 1
Tainung No. 1 is a large plant and the most popular non-GMO variety. Flowering begins 218 days after sowing and the first fruit sets when the plants are 36 inches (91 cm) tall. Fruits average 2.2 lbs (1 kg) each, hold up well during transport and have sweet bright orange-red flesh that is .9 inches (2.3 cm) thick. Medium tolerance to Ring Spot Virus.

PAPAYA, TAINUNG NO. 2
Tainung No. 2 is a smaller plant than No. 1, produces slightly larger and sweeter fruit but does not transport as well. Flowering begins 220 days after sowing and the first fruit sets when the plants are 29 inches (73 cm) tall. Fruits average 2.4 lbs (1.1 kg) each and have a sweet bright orange-red flesh that is .9 inches (2.2 cm) thick. Weak tolerance to Ring Spot Virus. |

PAPAYA, ORANGE QUEEN
Orange Queen has very strong tolerance to Ring Spot Virus and is a non-GMO variety. Fruits average 1.9 lbs (.85 kg) each, transport very well and have sweet orange flesh that is .9 inches (2.2 cm) thick. First flowering begins from the 18th to 25th node when plants are from 14 (35 cm) to 20 inches (50 cm) tall. The overall yield per plant is generally 25 to 50% higher than the No. 1 or No. 2. |
