Yellow Sweet Spanish Utah
Long day yellow. Deep globe shape that can become very large is
some soils and when planted in northern latitudes. Small Neck. Shiny
straw-brown skin with white medium firm flesh with a mild flavor.
A fair keeper. |

Red Wethersfield
Long day red. Large flattened globe, deep purple-red skin, fairly
firm pink-tinged white flesh with red concentric circles and a fine
strong flavor. Widely adapted variety, which matures approx. 100
days from transplanting. This variety is also used as a red bunching
onion in short day growing areas. |

Crystal White Wax
Short day white variety used to produce pearl or pickling onions
in latitudes above 40 degrees or full size bulbs in areas below 30
degrees. Plant in May to harvest round to slightly oval 1 to 1.5” white
pearls in 90 to 120 days. Full sized medium thick flat white bulbs
can be harvested in 150 to 180 days. Also used in the South for 2” bulb
bunching. |

Eclipse
Short day white variety used primarily to produce pearl or pickling
onions in latitudes above 40 degrees. Planted in May, round to slightly
oval 1 to 1.5” white waxy bulbs can be harvested in 90 to 120
days. Planted in short day areas (30 degrees or below), this variety
produces a medium sized thick flat white bulb in 150 to 180 days.
Resistant to Pink Root and doubling. |

Red Burgundy
Short day red that matures in 95 to 165 days depending upon planting time, location
and climate. Produces large flattened globes 3 to 4 inches in diameter with
dark red skin and soft white flesh with red rings. Very mild and sweet. Short
storage ability. Resistant to botrytis and pink root. |

Red Creole
Short day red. Adapted particularly to tropical and sub-tropical areas. Matures
in 100 to 160 days depending upon planting time, location and climate. Reddish-buff
skin color. Small to medium size thick flat bulbs with pungent red-purple flesh.
Excellent storage for tropical climates if kept dry and ventilated. Resistant
to pink root. |

Short day red. Attractive large grano shaped bulbs with bright glossy deep burgundy
color and soft mild white flesh. Short to medium storage ability. Resistant
to pink root. Matures in 100 to 175 days depending upon planting time, location
and climate.

Texas Early Grano 502 PRR
Short day yellow. Large globe to top shaped bulbs with straw colored skin. Think
scales with white sweet flesh. Resistant to bolting and pink root. Used widely
in the southern latitudes throughout the world. |

ONION, NUMEX MIRAGE
NuMex Mirage is a short-day, white, high globe shaped onion comparable to Texas Early White but with greater bolt resistance. It has good uniform bulb maturity and was selected over 10 generations for resistance to Pink Root and Fusarium Basal Rot.
