Pepper – Hot, Scotch Bonnet Red

Scotch Bonnet is very similar to the habanero pepper and is said to be slightly less pungent. Plants start producing fruit when they are less than a foot tall. These fruits are a little smaller than habaneros at 1 inch in length. Scotch BonnetĀ fruits turn red when they reach full maturity. Used in Caribbean dishes for it’s hot and rich flavor. Relative maturity is 100 days.
